The increasing complexity of international maritime logistics requires more secure, transparent, and efficient transaction systems. This study aims to explore the implementation of blockchain technology in maritime logistics transactions, focusing on its potential benefits and challenges. A qualitative method is employed by analyzing relevant literature and case studies from recent maritime blockchain applications. The findings indicate that blockchain enhances transaction transparency, reduces fraud, and accelerates documentation processes, but faces challenges such as regulatory issues and technological adoption barriers. The implications suggest that adopting blockchain could significantly improve the efficiency and security of maritime logistics, promoting trust among stakeholders and reducing operational costs. Further research is needed to address integration issues with existing systems and regulatory frameworks.
