Analisis Pengaruh Teknologi Otomasi terhadap Produktivitas Industri Pelayaran di Indonesia

Abstract

The development of automation technology has significantly influenced various sectors, including the shipping industry in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the impact of automation on industrial productivity, particularly in maritime operations such as logistics, cargo handling, and vessel navigation. Employing a mixed-methods approach, the research combines quantitative data from port performance metrics with qualitative insights from industry stakeholders. Findings reveal that the adoption of automation technology leads to increased operational efficiency, reduced human error, and optimized resource utilization. However, the transition also presents challenges, including the need for workforce reskilling and substantial capital investment. The implications of this study suggest that strategic implementation of automation, supported by policy and training, can enhance the competitiveness of Indonesia's shipping industry in the global market.
